Christmas 2020 at Arundale

Dear Parents and Carers,

This year we have to celebrate the festive season slightly differently. Covid restrictions unfortunately prevent us from being able to invite parents into school, but I wanted to tell you about some of the things we will be doing to make the children’s Christmas’ as magical as possible. Staff will try to photograph and video as many of these as possible for you to watch and share on Class Dojo.

Our Christmas festivities begin on Monday 30th November when M and M Theatre Company are joining us for not one but four Panto’s!  Classes will be split to maintain social distance to watch and enjoy ‘The Wizard of Oz’.  Our super cook, Julie and her team are creating a special Oz style lunch for children to enjoy in their classroom.

Due to social distancing Santa will unfortunately not be able to join us, however, he is sending reindeer and elves to school on Tuesday 8th December (hopefully they might bring presents!)

Friday 11th December is our big day.  Christmas Jumper Day, Christmas Dinner Day and Christmas Party Day.  Parties will take place in classrooms and we will make sure that the children have the usual goodies and games!

On Thursday 17th December the children will take it in turns to go to our Sports Glow Dance Session in the Hall. With UV lights and UV equipment this will be a very exciting dance session for all the children to enjoy.

All classes will also have a Christmas movie day where they can enjoy a Christmas movie and Christmas stories.

All the children will be making a calendar, card and a craft to bring home and they’ll all get to enjoy a Christmas movie (or two!).

We’re doing all we can to make this Christmas as magical as possible.  We’ll make it one to remember

Your sincerely
