End of Year Letter
As we are fast approaching the end of another school year, albeit this one has been very different to say the least, I wanted to write to thank you for all of your support and to inform you of a couple of things as we hopefully return to normal in September.
We have recently welcomed back Mrs Webb from her maternity leave and we are looking forward to having her back in class in September. Mrs Hulland will now be providing teaching support across the school. Mr Bowden will be leaving us at the end of summer for a new teaching job at another school – we wish him the best of luck and thank him for all of his hard work with our Reception children over the past year. I’m sure he’s going to be missed.
As you are more than aware, your child unfortunately missed their usual opportunity to transition into their new year group for September; therefore the classes and teachers for the new academic year are as follows:-
Nursery Mrs Suthern
Reception Miss Wilde
Year 1 Miss Saddow
Year 2 Mr McCarthy
Year 3 Mrs Webb
Year 4 Mrs Weilding
Year 5 Mrs Whitehurst
Year 6 Miss McKee
Mrs Abbass (Mon, Tues, Weds) Miss McKee (Thurs, Fri)
We hope these arrangements do not cause problems for parents or carers. If you would like more information please do not hesitate to contact your child’s present teacher either via Dojo or email email@example.com
I would like to take this opportunity to wish our Year 6 children the best of luck in their new high schools. You have shown great maturity in dealing with the situation we have all been facing and you have come back to school for these final few weeks taking everything in your stride. We are very proud of you and we know you are going to smash it in September! GOOD LUCK!!
It is our intention that school will be closed over the summer holidays as per the dates originally planned. We will notify you as soon as possible if there is any variance in dates due to developments with Covid 19. We are planning for school to reopen on Thursday 3rd September and we will be in touch nearer the time regarding start times.
Finally, thank you to all of our staff who have worked tirelessly throughout the whole year, but especially through these past few months, ensuring work is continually provided for their classes and also providing childcare for the key worker children during school holidays. Thank you to all of our parents and carers who have continued to support the school.
Stay safe, stay well and we will see you in September.
Mr P. Hartley
Head of School
