Last Friday 2nd December, Year 4 visited Quarry Bank Mill as part of their topic about Victorians – the children looked fantastic in their costumes!
“My favorite part of Quarry Bank Mill was when we were looking at the machines. They were showing us how they work and some of us were picking up cotton off the floor. The machines were very noisy and the machines were dirty but it was really fun.”
By Orran Roylance, Year 4
“My favorite part of Quarry Bank Mill was where we were in the apprentice house. We had to write on a slate using Victorian letters. You couldn’t talk or look at Ma’am Shawcross and if you talked you had to carry dumbbells.”
By Cameron Benson, Year 4
