Cooking After School Club for Parents and Children
This term, Arundale has been selected to take part in ‘Ready, Steady, Cook and Eat’ sessions with Nutrition Advisors from Tameside and Glossop Community Healthcare and Sports Coaches from Active Tameside. These sessions will take place at school on Mondays from 3.30pm – 5.30pm starting on Monday 5th October for 8 weeks excluding school/bank holidays.
During these sessions, families will take part in cooking and fun physical activity sessions. This will be followed by a short session looking at food and nutrition while your food cooks! Finally, families will all eat together, clear up and choose recipes for the following week!
This fantastic opportunity is open to families who have a child in Years 3 to 6 – younger children may attend as part of the family, as long as they are aged 5 or over. Children of families who attend at least six of these sessions will be entitled to a young person’s 6 month swim pass enabling your child more free time to have fun and get fit too!
